Heriot Watt was founded in 1821 and have been outward looking pioneers of education in pursuit of knowledge to the benefit of society. Herriot Watt are working with West Lothian Council in partnership in the delivery of skills and job support grants.

Scottish Enterprise is Scotland’s national economic development agency.  SE work closely with partners to find and exploit the best opportunities to help deliver a significant and lasting effect on the Scottish economy.

Skills Development Scotland (SDS) is Scotland’s national skills body providing services across the country to deliver the very best outcomes for Scotland’s people, businesses and the economy by supporting individuals to build their career management, work-based and employability skills. 

The Supplier Development Programme (SDP) was established in 2008, and is a partnership of Local Authorities, Scottish Government and other public bodies that works together to bring FREE support in all aspects of tendering to Scottish-based micro, small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) and supported businesses.

If you’ve been made redundant or are facing redundancy, Partnership Action for Continuing Employment (PACE) can help. PACE is a Scottish Government initiative, and is a partnership of 24 organisations providing free advice and support to anyone facing redundancy. The West Lothian Chamber of Commerce aims to support all businesses, whatever their size, to connect and thrive as well as offering access to various events and services tailored to encourage and develop your business. 

The West Lothian CPP is the name given to all those services that come together to take part in community planning. Established in 1999 it is made up of 21 partners from the public, voluntary and private sectors.
