The Digital Development Grant is part funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and is aimed at enhancing the digital capabilities of Scottish businesses.

VAT registered business you can receive a grant of up to £7,500.00 against a total project cost of £15K. Please note all VAT costs are excluded from the grant sum awarded.

Businesses that are not VAT registered can apply for grants of up to £1,000 against a project spend of £2K. All grant awards will be paid retrospectively. Businesses must be SMEs and have been trading for a minimum of 6 months.

If you have been awarded a Digital Development Grant within the last 12 months, please do not apply.

The purpose of the fund includes:

  • Reducing (non-staff) operational costs
  • Improving market share
  • Increasing revenue
  • Improving cyber security
  • Moving the business online

Eligible Expenditure is to introduce new digital capabilities to your business:

  • Enhancing Digital Skills of Workforce
  • Purchase of Software and IT, Digital Hardware
  • Improving IT Infrastructure
  • Building an E-commerce Website
  • Developing an App

Funding Success Story - Capital Power Clean Ltd.

Livingston-based business Capital Power Clean Ltd. successfully applied for the Digital Development Grant in order to invest in a new software system. This funding has resulted in increased efficiency and productivity for the business.
