Get Ready to Invest: Becoming Investor Ready In Person Workshop

Are you a female entrepreneur ready to take the next step with your business? Do you need to present the best business case for new investment and need to know where to look?

We are running two crucial workshops for you in partnership with Martin Aitken – accountants and business advisers. Martin Aitken have helped many young businesses get ‘investor ready’ and successfully raise finance. Please note, you do not have to attend both sessions.

Workshop 1: Becoming Investor Ready

During this in person workshop, we will cover:

  • Getting ready step by step. For example:
    • Market ready product, including protecting any IP?
    • Market knowledge, including identifying and assessing competition?
    • Your Unique Selling Point and route to market?
    • Management and team?
    • A commercial and financial strategy?
    • Practical needs and operations to deliver objectives?
    • Financial systems and controls?
    • Up to date financials, if an existing business?
  • How you go about developing financial projections to capture future trading expectations and quantify the funding requirement – Profit & Loss, Cashflow and Balance Sheet
  • Sensitivities and key assumptions
  • Developing a business plan – contents and key messages
  • Building the business case and pitching to funders – pitch deck composition.
