The retailing giants will be opening a brand new store in Livingston on May 26th, with the doors on the 1,500sqm site to open at midday.
The first to open in West Lothian, the store will also be just a short drive along the M8 from Edinburgh, and is expected to have brought nearly 20 new jobs to the area.
As well as the usual sportswear, the unit will also be stocking a large "camping section", with a vast range of hiking and outdoor wear.
In addition, there will also be "quality sports clothing, equipment and accessories for over 70 different sports."
Speaking about the opening, Ben Hatton, Decathlon’s Scotland Leader, commented:
"Decathlon’s mission has always been to make the fun and benefits of sport more accessible for the many. Our new Livingston store is strategically located to be easily accessible to a huge portion of the Scottish population."
"We’re ideally located with fantastic transport links, and we’re also surrounded by some of the best countryside spots in the country, so we hope that the store will act as a melting pot where adventurous Scots can come together as they explore the great outdoors, try a sport for the first time, or just stocking up on their sporty essentials!"
