Glenmorangie looks to the future with its Apprenticeship Academy

The Glenmorangie Company is sowing the seeds of the whisky industry’s future with the appointment of seven new production associates.

The most recent graduates of the company’s Apprenticeship Academy underwent an 18-month training programme which, due to the pandemic, had to be conducted virtually. The course included training in areas such as spirits operations and packaging.

All seven of the apprentices have now become production associates at the company’s bottling plant at the Alba Campus in Livingston, where they will work on bottling both the Glenmorangie and Ardbeg single malts.

“We are passionate about supporting apprentices to fully equip them with the knowledge, skills and experience required to succeed at our Alba bottling plant,” said Peter Nelson, operations director at The Glenmorangie Company.

“No prior manufacturing experience is necessary, and we encourage anyone interested in kickstarting their career in the thriving Scotch whisky industry to get in touch.

“The graduates who have just completed our Academy programme have done a tremendous job.
