West Lothian life sciences firm wins multiple awards

Livingston-based Valneva Scotland bagged a brace of awards at a glittering ceremony in Glasgow.

The company won several awards at Scotland’s annual Life Sciences Awards 2024, including the award for Outstanding Skills Development.

Valneva is a specialty vaccine company that develops, manufactures, and commercializes vaccines for infectious diseases addressing unmet medical needs. The Companies manufacturing centre of excellence is located in Oakbank Industrial Park, Livingston.

The Outstanding Skills Development Award went to Valneva for having achieved a stronger, people-led culture, the company launched a unique five-year People Plan and their ‘Together We’ cultural transformation campaign in February 2023.

Valneva also received the Innovation - Pharma Services and Drug Discovery Award having advanced a new vaccine candidate. Judges were impressed by the award entry and felt the innovation will have a huge impact for Scotland both globally and economically.
