Shot Scope has opened its new headquarters in West Lothian.

With new additions to the management team, sales department and support staff, a larger headquarters was necessary to accommodate a growing workforce after a recent round of Series B funding worth $8.5m.

“The company has grown internationally in the past two years, with customers in over 160 countries, so the move allows us to continue our ambitious growth plans servicing customers worldwide from the home of golf here in Scotland.” said Chief Executive David Hunter.

Scottish Enterprise has backed Shot Scope’s journey from the outset, providing a variety of support, including £1.75m of innovation funding and £3.3m of investment into the company. Its Chief Executive Adrian Gillespie was on site to unveil Shot Scope’s new headquarters earlier this month.

“Shot Scope is a fantastic example of an ambitious Scottish business who are developing innovative golf technologies for international markets,” said Gillespie. ”With our help, the company is accelerating its international plans, recruiting new talent to support its expansion, and developing its excellent products for new global markets.”

Founded in 2014, Shot Scope now offers a range of products that aim to improve the way golfers access distances on the golf course, through both GPS wearables and laser rangefinders. Its shot tracking devices record more than 100 statistics, enabling golfers to analyse their round and shoot lower scores.
