Following the success of two previous sessions, Business Gateway West Lothian are hosting their popular ‘Simplifying the Business Start Up Process’ event again in March.

The Business Gateway West Lothian team are delighted to be hosting their third ‘Simplifying the Business Start Up Process’ event on Tuesday, the 18th of March 2025.

This promises to be a valuable event for new and aspiring business owners with topics covered including: the wide range of support available for West Lothian businesses, funding opportunities (including funding specifically for parents), the importance of building a strong brand, and how to introduce sustainable business practices.

There will be dedicated time for networking, giving attendees the opportunity to ask the Business Gateway West Lothian advisers questions and connect with likeminded West Lothian residents.

An exciting panel will also be taking place during the event, featuring three local entrepreneurs: Laura MacMillan, from Tricycle Treats; Nadia McKay, from Nexa IQ Ltd; and Sarah Eaton, from Bonnie Braids by Sarah. They will be sharing their inspiring business journeys and discussing how Business Gateway West Lothian helped them launch their dream businesses. This will be moderated by Michelle Brown, Director of Michelle Brown PR.

The event will be taking place from 5:00pm – 7:00pm at West Lothian College in Livingston. It is free to attend for West Lothian residents.

“We are thrilled to be hosting our ‘Simplifying the Business Start Up Process’ event again. We received fantastic feedback from the previous sessions, with attendees sharing that they felt confident and ready to move forward with their new businesses after learning more about the support available,” said Business Gateway West Lothian Team Leader, Linzi Winton.
