Sibbald Training Achieves its Growth Goals with Funding Support
Sibbald Training Ltd is a leading provider of professional training in construction, logistics, health and safety, and engineering. The business has two state of the art training facilities in Armadale and Blackridge that allow trainees to experience hands on training under the guidance of experts.
We are thrilled to have provided the business with a wide range of support to help it achieve its growth goals. This has included support with creating a net zero plan and funding towards developing training areas and implementing a new working at heights tower.

The Invest in West Lothian team have extensive experience of preparing funding packages for local businesses of all sizes. Each month, we will highlight a new funding opportunity that is currently available to eligible businesses in the area.
The Project Grant
The Project Grant is part funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and is aimed at West Lothian businesses that want to enhance their competitive edge through capacity building and efficiency improvements.
With this exciting grant, eligible businesses can receive funding of up to £7,500, against a spend of at least £15,000, towards eligible capital expenditure costs, such as purchasing new equipment (excluding vehicles).

Get Ready for Investment: Sources and Types of Funding Workshop
During this in person workshop, our hosts Martin Aitken & Co Ltd will be breaking down topics including: types and sources of finance, equity vs debt, valuation, and due diligence. This is perfect for female entrepreneurs that are ready to move forward with their businesses. This is taking place on Thursday, the 13th of March, from 9:30am – 12:30pm at the Voluntary Gateway West Lothian office in Bathgate. This workshop will also be repeated in webinar format on Tuesday, the 25th of March, from 9:30am – 12:30pm. Please note, the workshops are part of our Women in Entrepreneurship project.
