Access2Employment’s Intensive Family Support service helps families experiencing chronic worklessness and poverty. We also work with families with multiple and complex needs.

1:1 targeted intensive support sessions are available, which can be arranged at a time and place suitable for clients. An action plan and support will be jointly agreed, and where appropriate, referrals will be made to required services, for example, Housing or the Advice Shop.

Families will receive support for core issues that affect everyone in the household, with the aim of creating stability and increasing independence. They will receive help to engage in employment or employability-related activities, and referrals to access targeted advice on welfare and income maximisation.

Workshops, Courses and Group Sessions delivered include:

  • Wellbeing workshops
  • Chill and Chat sessions
  • Conflict resolution
  • Motivation and confidence sessions
  • WomenN2Work 4-6 week courses
  • MenN2Work 4-6 week courses
  • Employability workshops

  • Apprenticeship workshop sessions

The service supports clients who:

  • Are lone parents
  • Are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless
  • Live in a low-income household affected by worklessness
