Job Description:
Provide leadership and management to the residential care team, ensuring high standards of practice are maintained.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements, including, SSSC, and Care Inspectorate standards.
Oversee the development and implementation of individualised care plans for young people.
Monitor and evaluate the quality of care and outcomes for young people, driving improvements where necessary.
Manage the recruitment, training, and development of staff, fostering a positive, supportive team culture.
Build strong relationships with external agencies, parents, and professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care.
Promote a positive, inclusive, and respectful environment for young people and staff.
Experience And Qualifications:
A relevant professional qualification (SVQ Level 4 in Health and Social Care or equivalent).
Registered with the SSSC (Scottish Social Services Council) as a Manager.
Significant experience in residential children’s care, including experience in a managerial or supervisory role.
Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in children’s residential care.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
